In the span of less than 4 months in mid-2013, my wife and I bought a 34' Class-A Motorhome, got rid of 80% of our belongings, sold our house in Atlanta, GA and hit the road to travel full-time around North America in our RV.

We quickly realized we didn't want to be bloggers, vloggers, YouTube celebrities or Instagram influencers, but it hasn't stopped us from putting up an infrequently updated instagram profile that loosely chronicles our 6 ½ year (and counting) journey from Atlanta to the Florida Keys, by way of Alaska. What a long, strange trip it's been! We've learned a lot about our homeland and ourselves as we've traversed 120,000+ miles of this great continent, and we have no plans to stop anytime soon.

Background

I have been working in information technology since 1992, focused on computer, network and information security since 1997. Since 2010, I've been using my background in tecnology and security to reverse engineer influence in order to rapidly grow technology businesses.

I earned my CISSP certification (#33494) in 2002 and have provided training and consultation across the globe on Hacking and Countermeasures, Firewalls, Penetration Testing, Intrusion Detection, Incident Response, CISSP preparation, Enterprise Virtualization, Cloud Security and Business Growth Hacking.

I have consulted for hundreds of SMBs and enterprise organizations, as well as the National Weather Service and the United Nations, and have trained the US Air Force, Navy and Marines, as well as the Department of Defense, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency.

I am a supporter of the ATP and the EFF, a member of the ISSA and ISACA, and I previously served on the Board of Directors for the Metro Atlanta ISSA chapter.

I started and organized the DC404 group from 2003 through 2013, and founded kaos.theory security research, creators of Anonym.OS.

In 2011, I founded ACE Hackware, which now serves over 30,000 military, law enforcement, private security and retail customers from 50+ countries on all 7 continents.

I have sponsored and spoken or volunteered at DEF CON, Black Hat, ShmooCon, LayerOne, Innerz0ne, Outerz0ne, Cloud Security Alliance, DerbyCon, SkyDogCon and Security BSides (Las Vegas and Atlanta).
